LPCS 2011-2012 Year off to a Great Start!

On September 1, 2011, Linwood Public Charter School hosted the 2011-12 Back-to-School Night for parents. This event marked a milestone in the school’s 3-year history, drawing a standing room-only crowd in the gymnasium for the largest turnout ever.

The back-to-school event was organized thanks to a team effort between the school’s Warriorettes dance line and the school Student Life Organization (SLO®). SLO® is a student-led organization that is a key component of the SABIS® Educational System implemented at the school. By empowering LPCS students to manage various departments and organize activities for the school, SLO® builds a strong culture that supports academic achievement and fosters strong character development.

The event was kicked off by an exciting dance performance by the Warriorettes, who impressed those in attendance and set a nice atmosphere for the event. LPCS Director, Mrs. Carroll, inspired the students to dream big and reach for the stars this year and to remember that education provides endless opportunities. She also encouraged parents to get involved in their child’s academics and school activities and encouraged the staff to remain focused on doing their very best.

Linwood Public Charter School serves students in grades 6th – 8th and is a member of the global SABIS® School Network. LPCS provides its students with an opportunity to obtain an education through the dynamic and proven SABIS® Educational System, which helps students reach their full potential and features proven instructional methods and a curriculum which has a strong focus on math and English. LPCS is a member of a global network of SABIS® schools that serve thousands of students on four continents in 15 countries.
