Racing To The Top for LEAP Success 2012
On Friday January 6th, Linwood Public Charter School officially kicked off school awareness for the upcoming LEAP & iLEAP State Standardized Test with their Racing To The Top Campaign.
With a mission to prepare students for the upcoming state standardized test, Linwood Public Charter School students were able to hear encouraging words from local entrepreneur, DeMarkus Webb, owner of E & E Security Company. He encouraged the students to get excited about taking the test because they have been preparing for the test since the school year began. He encouraged the students to take their time, read and re-read the questions carefully.
This event successfully allowed the students to relax; as they have been working extremely hard and taking advantage of after-school tutoring and LEAP & iLEAP practice questions. It gave them an opportunity to see that not only do the teachers and administration support them but also leaders in our community. The second phase of our Ring the Alarm campaign will take place April 5, 2012.
